Qualifications

Education Qualifications:

• Candidate who are interested for this post, he/she must posses a degree from any recognized university.

For Deputy Superintendent of  Police (Category – I):
Candidate must degree or diploma in criminology and Forensic Science

For Assistant Commissioner:

1. First Preference: Both Commerce and Law degree together with Diploma in Taxation laws
2. Second Preference: Both degree in Commerce and Law 
3. Third Preference: Degree in any one Commerce or Law with diploma in Taxation law
4. Fourth Preference: Degree in Commerce or Law

District Employment Officer:
Candidate graduate with Economics, Education, Sociology, Statistics or Psychology.

Post graduate diploma in Social Science and experience in Personnel management and Industrial 

Age Limit:
For all post of TNPSC Group I services is from 21 years to 30 years and age relaxation for candidates from SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC, BCM and DW years to 35 years (except Assistant Commissioner)

Selection procedure for TNPSC for Group I services:

• Preliminary Examination: This examination held on 30 December 2012 (Time: 10.A.M. to 1:00 P.M.). Candidate must pass this examination to qualify for Main examination
• Main Written Examination: After passing Preliminary examination, you  seat for Main Written examination
• Interview/Oral: This is the last stage to recruitment
