SAIL Recruitment 2014 Notification

Steel Authority Of India Limited (SAIL) is a Central Govt owned organization. With total turnover of approximately 50,000 crores is India’s biggest steel manufacturer company. It is nominated as one of the seven Jewell of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises.

SAIL has issued notification for recruitment in its Bhilai Steel Plant. Applications are invited for the post of Operator cum Technician (Trainee) in Bhilai Steel Plant. Candidates all over India can apply for the desired post.

Bhilai Steel Plant Job Description

Bhilai Steel Plant is considered as best integrated Steel Plant in the country and is the only one producer of rails and heavy steel plate. BSP invites application for the post of Operator cum Technician (Trainee) from the young aspirants.

Education Details

Candidates should have completed Diploma in any of the following disciplines from an recognized University. Following are the branches. Metallurgy, Electrical, Mechanical/Techtronic, Computer Science/IT, Electronics and Instrumentation.

Eligibility Details

Candidates must have age more 18 years and less than 28 years as on 01/09/2013. Age relaxation will apply to reserved category. For SC/ST age relaxation is of 5 years. For OBC age relaxation is of 3 years.

Candidates should bring their final examination marksheet at the time of interview for conformation as Diploma holder or else they will be disqualified.

Candidates should also fit in the physical criteria asked by SAIL. Following are the details.

Selection procedure

Candidates will be called for interview on the basis of written test score.

Candidates should check their respective branch and then click on the link. At the last of the page there will be apply now option. Click there to apply.

Fee Details:

Candidates can only pay through challan. The challan can be downloaded after successfully filling of the form. The challan need to be submitted at SBI.
For SC/ST/PwD – fees is 50 Rs
For OBC/General – fees is 250 Rs

After the payment of challan candidates should conform challan on the SAIL website and should download receipt of payment. This receipt should be produced at the time of exam along with challan copy of SAIL.

Training and Probation Details

All the selected candidates will be put under training for the period of 2 years. After completion of training they will be put under S-3 grade and will serve 1 year under probation.
