Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) took this Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination. On 17 February 2013 this CDS exam for 2013 will be conducted to take a admission for the different courses in Indian Defence Services.
CDS Examination details
From this exam UPSC recruit the officers for Indian defence service for the Army, Navy and Air Force also. Every year this exam held in February (CDS-I) and September (CDS-II). UPSC gives lots more opportunity to join the Indian Defence Services by taking this examination twice in year.

UPSC already declared that they will publish the notification on their official website on the 10th November 2012. We are waiting for the official notification declaration to give more detailed information regarding the CDS 2013 Examination.

Examination PatternThere are two stages for the CDS 2013 examination. First one is Written Test and Second one is Interview Written Test: This is the objective type of test. Question paper carries total 100 marks of question paper. 2 hours of duration for the written test. Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the Written test are called for the Interview (Personal Interview)

Eligibility Criteria for CDS 2013
- For IMA and OTA: Candidate, who want to appear this exam he/she should have degree from any recognized University or Institute or College.
- For Noval and Air Force Academy: You should complete the B.Sc with Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor in Engineering
