CDAC PG Diploma Courses

Centre for Development of Advance Computing (CDAC) has started enrollment process for admission to PG Diploma Courses for August 2014 Batch. Admission open for 24 weeks full-time high end Post Graduate Diploma courses in ICT and related areas for August 2014 Batch at 30 Centers in 18 Cities across India. Admissions are open from 20 April to 29 May 2014.

CDAC’s Program Details

CDAC offers PG Diploma courses that are of 6 months. List of courses offered;

• Advance Computing (PG-DAC)
• Wireless and Mobile Computing (PG-DWiMC)
• VLSI Design (PG-DVLSI)
• Embedded Systems Design (PG-DESD)
• IT Infrastructure, Systems and Security (PG-DITISS)
• System Software Development (PG-DSSD)
• Automation and SCADA Systems (PG-DASS)
• Integrated VLSI and Embedded Systems Design (PG-DIVESD)
• Healthcare informatics (PG-DHI)
• Geoinformatics (PG-DGI)

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate in Engineering or equivalent in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science and related areas from recognized University with min 55% marks.
• Post Graduate in Engineering Sciences (MCA/M.Sc. Engg/M.Sc. (CS, IT, EE, Electronics, Instrumentation, Etc.) with min 50% marks.

Note : Candidate should have one of the above qualification. Candidates appearing for the final exam can also apply but their result should be out before commencement of course.

CDAC conducts Common Campus Placement Program for students on region-wise level at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida and Pune.  All the training centers co-ordinate campus interviews for PG Diploma students providing exposure to MNC’s.

How to Apply?

Candidates must apply online by visiting CDAC site. They should first register themselves before applying for any course. To register candidates must click on the “Education & Training” option. At the time of registration password and user id is sent to the provided email id. Candidates should login using the same to apply for courses.

Note: Filling of the application does not ensure one’s seat for the course. Admission is done on the basic of Common Admission Test.

CDAC’s Common Admission Test

Admissions to all P Diploma courses of C-DAC are done through computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT). Candidates have to apply for C-CAT online at www.cdac.in. C-CAT for this year will be conducted on 8^th and 15^th June.

Application fees for Online CAT exam is Rs.800/-. Rs100/- will be charged for every course opted by candidate in the online application form. If candidates choose to use computer at test center then Rs.200/- per computer will be charged. Fees can be paid online or offline.

Exam Pattern

The exam consists of three sections of one hour duration each. The no of sections candidate needs to appear depends on the courses. Each section consists of 50 objective type questions of 3 marks each. Candidate has to select the answer from 4 options provided. For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted from the tally.

Section A : English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning.

Section B : Computer Fundamentals, C Programming, Data Structures, Data Communication & Networking, Object Oriented Programming Concepts, Operating Systems.

Section C : Computer Architecture, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors.

Note : Candidates will have to bring their own Laptops at the test center. Candidates will be entirely responsible for working of their laptops. Rs.200/- will be charged for using CDAC’s computers.
