People from different background who want to have a carrier in banking sector here is good opportunity for you. “Institute of Banking Personnel Selection”  (IBPS) is an institute which works on international testing models and carries job of personnel selection for selection and recruitment of peoples in the banks. It also handles promotions within the organizations. It has become an integrated exam for selection of personnel in various banks.

IBPS is going to conduct “Common Written Examination (CWE)” for “Specialist Officers” for the year 2013. The exam will be conducted in the month of March across 200 centers all over INDIA. Candidates qualifying the exam will be selected in various banks depending on the IBPS score. Exam will be conducted for specialist fields like IT, technical, agricultural, HR, legal marketing etc. let’s see important details related to CWE.

Eligibility Criteria for CWE

Any candidate who wishes to apply for common written exam should satisfy the following criteria:
  1. He/she must be a citizen of India or subject of Nepal/Bhutan.
  2. Tibetan refugee who have steeled in India before 1st January 1962 can also apply for the exam.

Educational criteria depend on different fields which candidates intend to apply (like IT, Technical, HR etc.). In order to apply for CWE a candidate must at least have completed graduation and for some courses Post graduation is necessary. For more details you can visit official website www.ibps.in.

How to Apply?

IBPS is going to conduct CWE for the post of Specialist Officers in 19 public sectors banks. Candidates are requested to apply for any one of the above posts. If a candidate is found to be applying for more than one posts his application form will be rejected. Application of online form starts in month of January. Online application form can be filled from official website www.ibps.in.

It is important to note that a candidate can only apply online and no other modes are accepted. A candidate should attach the scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature as per specification. A candidate is also needed to keep a valid e-mail id till declaration of results. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category must upload caste certificate along with the form.

Fees Details
  • Fees for general and OBC category student is Rs.450 /-
  • For SC/ST/PWD candidates it is Rs.50 /-
Payment of fees can be done either online or offline.

  • Online registration – Month of January to February 
  • Online payment of fees – In Between Month of January to February
  • Offline payment of fees – Month of January
  • Call letter for exam will be available from march first week onwards
  • Date for online exam – Second or third week of March
