Educational Scholarships For Students

India and other countries around the world provide scholarships for higher education to the students with good academics and also to financially weak one. Students can avail scholarships right from fifth grade. They can complete their education up to PG through scholarships. But the hitch is most of us doesn’t know about existing scholarship schemes. I felt a need to share this post with you to make various scholarships known to you .I have collected information about various scholarships schemes around the globe and put them inside one post.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme

To be eligible for this scheme student must have passed 12th standard with minimum of 60%. Amount of 1 thousand is awarded monthly and an extra amount of rupees 10,000 is given at the end of academic year.  Application for this scholarship needs to be done in the month of October.

J.N.Tata Endowment Scholarship

It was started to honour late Jamshedji Tata and is awarded in his memory. This scheme is given for higher studies with help of 1 lakh for studies in India and 1.5 lakh for students studying abroad. You can apply for this scholarship in March.

Inspire Scholarship

This scholarship is given by Science And Technology Ministry of Govt of India. Anyone passing 12th to graduation can avail benefit of this scheme. Yearly 80,000 is given to students. Applications are welcomed for this scholarship from the month of September to October.

RBI Young Scholar Award

To create awareness about Banking sector amongst students RBI started this Scheme. Students passing 12th from Arts, Commerce, Science or students having done Polytechnic, D-Form are eligible to apply for this scholarship. They can apply in the month of September and October.

You will get to work in RBI as a trainee with stipend of 7,500 Rs. per month. Additionally RBI also gives yearly Scholarship.

Fulbright Nehru Scholarship

This scholarship is started by US-INDIA Educational Foundation for bright Indian students to pursue courses in US. It is given for study, research and teaching to peoples in almost any discipline. It covers travelling and living expenditure. You can apply for this scholarship any time around the year.

State Government Scholarships

Every State Government provides scholarship to students for studying Higher Secondary education, Graduation and Post Graduation. Students of any religion can avail this scholarship. For more details regarding the scheme you should visit official State Government website.

Aid Scholarship

This Scholarship is given to the students to purse research fellowship in Germany. Applications are accepted in October. Students are given monthly amount of Rs.62,000 during the course tenure.

Singapore Scholarship

Asian Scholarship, S.I.A, Youth Scholarship, A Star Scholarship, M.O.E Scholarship for Secondary and Pre University Studies, Hong Kong Scholarship is given to students of &7th and 8th grade for excellence in English (more than 80% marks). Amount equal to 500 Singapore Dollar is awarded.

Young Scientist Encouragement Scholarship is given to students after passing 10th. A sum of 4 thousand is given after 10th and yearly amount of 16,000 is awarded to students.

Students with BSC can avail scholarship of rupees 7000 per month and yearly amount of rupees 28,000.
Medical students can get scholarship up to 5000 per month and yearly amount of 20,000 for the first year.

Students in third year are eligible to get monthly amount of rupees 7000 and yearly sum of 28,000 in the form of scholarship.

These are some of the scholarship schemes funded by Central, State and Private Institutes. With the help of these schemes any student can make his/her dream come true.
